Who? Or What Is Rasta?

           Who is Rasta? Just what is Rasta? Rasta and Rastaman, synonymous words from the Jamaican vocabulary for the term referring to the man [Rasta man] and the movement [Rasta]. the man and movement first began in the mid 1950's by a man called Howell, as he was the first to wear the 'dreadlocks style in public for which he was severely beaten, he and the next man to also wear that hairstyle in public.                                                

           For the average man in the street news of the beat downs and seemingly unjust oppression of whoever wore dreads, made it become a symbol of standing up against injustice and oppression. Unknown to many that style of hair wear was done in the African nation of Kenya by the Mau Mau freedom fighters. It was also worn by secluded Coptic priests of Ethiopia.                                                                                                                  
           Marcus Mosiah Garvey, he who started the Black Starliner movement to remove all African-Americans from the shores of the U.S.A. to the shores of Liberia, Africa, while in his native land of Jamaica, Prophesied of a black king being crowned in the east. As the news filtered in via National Geographic and other news sources of an Emperor being crowned king in the only christian nation of Africa amidst a sea of Muslim countries, Garvey's prophetic words took new meaning.                                                             
       
           The coronation of Lij Tafari to the rulership of Ethiopia, Gave birth to Rasta. Lij Tafari was a prince before being made Emperor, and the amharic word for prince was/is Ras. And so Ras[Prince]-Tafari{Ras-Tafari}upon being crowned/made Emperor, was given the name Haile Selassie, the first. At his coronation he was dubbed as the king of kings and lord of lords and his name changed from Lij Tafari to Haile Selassie, which meant the power of the trinity.                                                                                           
          
           Soon, more and more individuals began to wear the dread-lock hairstyle in public, and those who did so when seeing each other in public shouted out to one another Ras-Tafari and the rest of the public shortened it to the term Rasta and the Rasta man. The outward wearing of dreadlocks also was given new status, as the justification for it was now being taken from the book of Numbers chapter 6, concerning taking the vow of a nazarite. Now every day someone new was being added to the ranks of those who believed, and rejected the mores of the prevailing society.                                                         
          Cannabis, also referred to as Ganja or Hemp, was first introduced by East Indians who were brought to the Island as paid serfs, and considered themselves of higher social standing above the descendant of slaves amongst whom they were living. The smoking of Ganja [weed], was incorporated into some form of ceremonial gathering by the passing of a homemade pipe {called a chalice} made from a cows horn, in a circle of the few who were gathered together.                                                                                        

          The Police, who took resentment at seeing dreadlocks, and considered it an affront to the society they knew, persecuted anyone who wore dreads, as Ganja was already against the law, anyone professing to be Rasta was considered an automatic criminal. In less than five years all of the ghettos in the capital saw a rise in the number of those who were now professing and embracing this new style religious trend.                                     
         Marcus Garvey in his teachings, had said that it was time for the black man to see God through black eyes.  Given the fact that Garvey himself was prosecuted for uplifting his race and trying to remove blacks from the shores of north America, it was easy to see why the downtrodden and hard pressed took to this new way of thinking in religion as a fact by rejecting white Jesus and white Christianity as a whole.                                             
       The Ras-tafarians had now come up with the new use of the word 'consciousness'. To be conscious, then, meant to be aware of the current struggles universally of the black man everywhere, especially as Ethiopia had recently emerged victorious in their battle with the Italian dictator Mussolini. Rastafarians and like minded sympathizers, were now branching out in the field of knowledge to promote this new found black consciousness, both by media music and art, Rasta was now here to stay. Everything that could be used to validate Haile Selassie was used to vindicate 'dread-locks'.                                       

         This new consciousness opened the minds of students and the average lay person who read the bible, and black men now began feel empowered with realizing their place in history and to know that they also had an important role to play in the future. Of course being a 'dread' also had it's problems.                                                                       
          The criminal minded element from the ghetto who had larceny and murder in their hearts were also attracted to this philosophy and lifestyle, most already having lived in the ghetto from birth and needed nothing to become a member unlike the christian denominational churches in existence at the time.  Because of criminal activity even the most pious dread locks individual was suspect wherever he went, and indeed many suffered brutal beatings at the hands of the police, who though they had stopped the beatings on sight, did so occasionally from frustration of not knowing who was who, and took it out on whoever was available when their frustration became unbearable. To the pious Rastafarian who got stomped by the cops however, they took it as a sign of being punished for his belief in Christ, and his faith was strengthened by these events against himself.                                                                                                            

         Quotes from the book of Revelation, from various sections, were used to justify the hardcore believers faith. Calling him the lion of Judah, they pointed out the fact that his birth date was under the astrological sign of Leo, and that the flag of Ethiopia also carried a Lion in it's insignia.Taking it another step further they also used the scripture in Psalms that said Ethiopia would stretch forth her hands unto God, and ripping off the 68th Psalm they took the name Jah and added it to Ras[Prince]-Tafari, and now the name of their god was Jah Ras-Tafari.                                                                                                  
           As more and more of the have nots, ghetto and slum dwellers, embraced the people who practiced the philosophy of Rastafarianism, with many converting to the belief, those who had, and considered themselves above the poor rejected the ideology, and looked with disdain upon anyone who dared to walk in public as a Rastafarian. The colors of the Ethiopian flag became more popular than the Jamaican colors and was seen everywhere in in the ghetto and soon nationwide.                                                                             
           Music now began to become an influence as more and more people with sympathy for the 'suffering man' also called 'sufferer', had singers and musicians alike singing of the daily problems facing the common man with the interjection of scriptures and the philosophy of right over wrong, the recipe for the growth and popularity of this new culture began to get more exotic.                                                                                                      
            One great fallacy in the culture of weed smoking, was the tall tale that Cannabis [weed], was found growing on the grave of ancient king Solomon and so it was called wisdom weed. Psalm 18 was also included as the scripture of smoke coming from his nostrils,and Ganja[herb] smoking was now justified as a religious item, the utensil used to smoke it with was given the biblical term of chalice.                                                                  
            By the close of the Italian conflict, the Ethiopian World Federation,upon discovering that some Jamaicans considered their Emperor a deity and wishing to build up their coffers got in touch with the Jamaican Gov't and went about subtly hinting to the people on the street that he was indeed a deity. So many Jamaicans donated to the World Federation of Ethiopia, That the Emperor himself came visiting sometime between 1958 and 1959 or thereabouts. The Island itself did not know that there were so many Dread locks individuals on it till the day the plane from Ethiopia landed. Literally thousands of dreads, sympathizers, like minded and the curious showed up to greet the Ethiopian monarch, and Rastafarians hit nirvana as their god came to visit.                                                        
            After denying his status as an alleged deity in a speech on the Island, after his departure,it was as if rastafarians never heard it. Tall incredible tales now abounded of him falling out of helicopters and landing on his feet and telling those in proximity of his voice that 'I am he',that with the aftermath of his visit , the incredibly large numbers of dreadlocked individuals,the Jamaican society had no choice but to acknowledge that there was, like it or not, a religious subculture called Ras Tafarianism.                                                     
            Enter Bob Marley and the Wailers. Bunny Livingston, also called Bunny Wailer, the founding father of the group,Peter Tosh and Bob Marley were a trio that started singing in the very early sixties. These three young men came from the heart of one of the most dangerous ghetto areas called Trench Town, and the songs they sang told the tale of every person living in the ghetto that was struggling to get out and make a better life for himself or herself. There were certainly other individuals and groups that made songs and a name for themselves within the culture.                                                                                     
           Change for the group came when they embraced the philosophy, and began to grow dreads to show their identification with Ras Tafari. Their new Album to show this change,was named "Catch A Fire" even though this change was gradual, it seemed to take the Jamaican industry by surprise. By then the group had  also expanded to include more members, including the I Three's.                                                                           
            Shortly after the assassination of J.F.K. Politics in the Island took a turn for the worse as Boston born and bred opposition leader of the Jamaican Labor Party [JLP] {Edward Seaga} and the leader of the ruling party the Peoples national Party [PNP] {Michael Manley}  both introduced guns to their followers to scare up votes for and to scare away votes from each other which led to gun violence escalating on a scale unknown-st to the Island in it's history, apart from the Paul Bogle and Maroon revolts.                                                                
          The infusions of guns led to numerous killings, the institution of a gun court, and the realization that not all Rastafarians were practising the basic tenet that first attracted it's followers, that of peace and love, and one heart.One now had to be careful where ever one went as Rastafarians were now not only known for trading in cannabis but also were [some of them], gunslingers.                                                                                                 
           In the  ghetto wording and semantics also played a part in either promoting good conversation or total ignorance. If a male person called another male a 'guy' it was cause for a fight as a guy was considered a person who worked on a ship and was also 'batty-boy' the term for gays[homosexual].  Buju Banton later recanted his stance to appease the same batty guys to salvage his career.                                                                                  
           In the beginning the wearing of dreadlocks was done to symbolize that the wearer stood for something positive in the growth and awareness of black folks. today it has become a meaningless hairstyle, worn by the very people that were prayed for the falling of fire and brimstone upon their heads -- homosexuals. When Bob Marley and the Wailers burst on the scene to promote Rastafarianism, the religion was about to reach it's zenith before it's gradual decline.                                                                                                      
         The ghettos of New York and other major cities of the U.S. saw an influx of Jamaican immigrants who with Rastafarian ties began to dominate the reefer selling market. they then then got the attention of the police with them killing each other for the possession of weed or to take over one another's business, which also led to stigma being put upon the honest hardworking people from Jamaica and the other Islands as they were all lumped together as Jamaicans.  So just who is Rasta?  He could now be anyone who believes that Haile Selassie is god incarnate, without the wearing of dreadlocks. What is Rasta? Modelled by the hairstyle of the Mau Mau freedom fighters, one of the credos of the radical rasta's is 'death to all oppressors both black and white.                 

         Rastafarianism was supposed to be for the uplifting of humanity, now it's a dying form of culture that is dying with those that formerly practiced it as the younger generation has discarded the wearing of dreads and any type of philosophical discussion of the bible, and black history similar to the month of February,  is just a blip in the memory. Sex, Happiness And Love

          SEX.... The ultimate feel good. Sex, that thing that drives both men and women wild. Sex, what drives both men and women into a frenzy. Sex, the word itself conjures up images, there is the sex drive, sex appeal and sexiness. Sex to a man like myself, conjures up images of a beautiful woman in my bed, in her birthday suit, her arms around me as she presses her breasts into my chest,shortly after I had inspected her most treasured things and gave them my personal stamp of approval. Aaarrgghh, makes everything feel oh so good. Don't it though?                                                                                                   
          The sex drive is what makes us go to work.To stay alive,[1]- To keep our children that sex had us procreate alive-[2]. To hopefully meet a prospective new beautiful lover-[3]. Sex does indeed make our world interesting and intriguing in more ways than one. It is also why we do our best to look good at all times,representing ourselves which involves sex appeal and sexiness.                                                                                                                   
           If you have ever been through the trauma of a breakup with someone you thought you loved, and lived with, you know that during the disagreeable times there was no sex, no touching, only animosity which made sex a no no, which in turn led to more angst as any chance of happiness went out the window.  Without sex- no reconciling, no chance of happiness. True or false? You be the judge.                                                                                  
          Rejection gives birth to resentment in most cases of discord. Which one of us as humans , welcomes rejection with relish? None. In fact our Lord and savior Jesus the Christ said in Matthew 10 vs 33: "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my father which is in heaven". Since God and Christ don't take too kindly to rejection why should man who is made in the 'image' and likeness of God? Granted, rejection is a must sometimes, because not everybody will get along, some people like others that do not have the same feelings for them. In such cases as heartbreaking as it may seem, those that got denied must seek for someone whose feelings for them will be mutual, or they will never get that chance for happiness [and sex].                                                             
           Ever got lovesick so bad that you lose your appetite? Wanting to be with that special someone and not being able to? And to make matters worse any chance for you to sex that individual got kicked to the curb and your insides just churns around your stomach. Never a good feeling.                                                                                                          
           Love is a spiritual bond that heightens the feeling of happiness, just as long as it's accompanied with sex. Tell the woman you would like to get next to, you love her and not try to have sexual relations with her, and she will think something is wrong with you. If a woman tells a man she is in love with him, makes no mention of marriage or gives him the brush off every time that he tries to initiate intimate contact, he will definitely put her to the curb. She'd have to go.                                                                                       

          In the 'Greek scriptures' [the New Testament] marriage to one wife is advocated in the book of Timothy. [1st Timothy 1 vs 2]. Also in the book of 1st Corinthians chapter 7,everything points to one woman one man marriage systems. {Author's note}-Called  the Greek scriptures, because of Ptolemy, one of Alexander the Greeks generals, had  over 70 Hebrew scholars translate the original Hebrew to Greek. The Roman Empire, an off shoot of the Greeks, hence the term Greco-Roman Empire, was in ruler ship of the known world at the time of the birth and death of Christ.Alexander's era was also the first known and written records of the Caucasian peoples taking over the known earth. [Interesting to note is the fact that the Greeks were then known for anal sex, a term used for sodomitic sex].A fact that some Greeks are still proud of to this day.                                                       
           In Deuteronomy chap 23 vs 17 , the law states as follows;"There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite [homosexual] of the sons of Israel". Anal sex is sodomy, a crime that God himself burned up Sodom [for whom the sin is named after] and Gomorrah for committing. There are still laws on the books even to this day against such deeds. We should not however lose sight of our moral and ethic consciences for the sake of the ultimate feel good of sex.                                                                                 

          There are still people who still either unwittingly or knowingly violate some of these laws that were written for us to not have a free for all sexual willy nilly type atmosphere where anything goes. {As is evidenced by today's sexual mores}. In some families, a man may be with the daughter of a family and she by virtue of gossip, tells her sister/s and mother that the man has 'good dick'. Curiosity being aroused, through no fault of his own, mother, sister/s and even Auntie find a way to be with the man and have sexual trysts with him to find out if it was true that  he had 'good dick'.                                          
           The advent of hardcore pornography being available on a large scale has only helped to lower the moral standard that was upheld in time past. The Idea of a man having sex with an entire family of women is now viewed as an entertaining adventure. Because of the competition by women to get a man before he becomes a homo straight out, [down low fags are another subject], women have embraced receiving anal sex along with vaginal sex to and in an effort to keep the men.                                                                   
           What was once the ultimate feel good and guaranteed to help repopulate the planet has been subtly used to turn us all aside into deviant sexual behavior. Heck, I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a few aberrant practices to do with women myself,{ we'll leave that behind closed doors where it belongs, ha ha}, but you get the drift of what I am saying here.                                                                                                                               
           You could have all the money in the world and no one to make love to you or visa versa, it will be the same as if you're broke with no one to love or to make love to you. You could be laughing at all the Kat Williams /Kevin Hart jokes 24/7, but without that special someone to share it with, it is simply futile. So in getting to the basics, happiness and love is a rarity without sex, the ultimate feel good. So until the next time, live well, be happy, make love, we bid you Peace.

Love, Happiness and Sex?

         LOVE. A word that has been in use for centuries, and similar to the word 'Friend' has been over used,undervalued, and just generally became meaningless. So many people have used the word 'friend' so often, without even really meaning it in the true sense of the word, that skepticism arises whenever someone implies that another person is a friend. The many facets of friendship and whether or not a person is a true friend, can be found in the following three books. 1] The Apocrypha, in the book of Ecclesiasticus, gives an almost complete rundown of how to evaluate persons and how they view their friendship to you. It also lets you know that a faithful friend is like gold.                                                                                                                        
          Good medicine is also used to describe a friend. 2] the book of Proverbs, and 3] the book of Ecclesiastes in the K.J.V. In all these descriptions of the word friend, it inevitably leads us to the word 'Love'. There are many facets of love, of course we all know the greatest love of all, God sending his Son Christ to die for our sins so we can get closer to God, and the Love of Christ in laying down his life for us.                                                                                                    
          Those examples of love leads us to the love of family. Before  delving any further, we are reminded by Christ that "Greater love hath no man, than that a man should lay down his life for his friend".Family love varies with each different family and the values they hold dear.Love of mother for daughter goes through varying stages due to the fickleness of women and how they both behave and perceive other women. The Bond of some women with their sons are sometimes detrimental to the son even getting a wife, and in the case of some women who lose the father of the son because of any of a multitude of various causes, denies her even obtaining another man/husband.                                                                                                         
            Fathers are often altogether held to a different set of standards. A father is responsible for making his sons to be men of exemplary standards, and his love for his daughter/s, especially if they are very close, comes under extremely close scrutiny. Many men have committed heinous crimes against their own daughters by being too close.  Inordinate love aside, a fathers love can protect his daughter from harm.  A good father also sets the example of how the daughter should expect to be treated by her future husband.                                                                                                  

           In today's modern society, the vast majority of urban households are run by single parents. Children are often affected by the absence of a parent from the household, which in turn hinders some children's ability to deal with members of the opposite sex in a fair manner. Some however grow up to raise very loving families.                                                                                  
           Next comes the love of individuals for the opposite gender, wherein sex equates to happiness and the fulfillment of love. It is this area that we wish to explore. There is also the inordinate love for people or things that are either classified as infatuation or obsession, fetishes or idolatry. Like. as a form of love in it's lesser form is also tied up in here,as fetishes are sometimes in slang terminology called a thing. Some people have a thing for shoes, case in point, that woman from the Philippines who had an excessive amount of shoes in her collection. Fetishes also can include some people's love for feet, and we could even go all the way up into the sexual behavior of some people addicted to sex or certain sexual acts.                                                    

          Can a man or woman find true love in today's high tech age? The desire to marry and have children has been slowly eradicated from the mind of the modern, industrial woman. She is more concerned about her career and in talks with her other female friends usually embark on men hating talks. and they all usually convince themselves that they have no need of men, after all, with modern technology, they can always buy a dildo or battery powered vibrator to satisfy themselves.                                                                                                                                
          Men are just as bad, by not establishing themselves as the authority, when it comes to women. Loose morals and the desire to have sexual intercourse with any under dressed overtly come hither woman they see,  we men have succumbed to the lure of them and seceded our right to set things straight. Women no longer, [at least  a few of them do], consider a man to be the head of anything, least of all the head of the house. I Corinthians 11 vs 4 says this,"But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ: the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God". Certainly, today's newfangled woman discards those words,as thinking them to be old fashioned. Not in this day and age she thinks, as she goes to any length to prove she can do as man does.                                                                                                                             
          Do not think that this is about bashing women! Most men have always justified sleeping with more than one woman with the saying that there are more women on the earth than men. But is that really true? And if it were, how can it be proven? Christ told the Sadducee' s that Moses because of the hardness of their hearts gave commandment that a man could write a bill of divorce, but it was not meant to be so from the beginning. Genesis chap 2 vs 24: "Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be one flesh". Please note it said wife not wives.                                                                             
          Again in the book of Proverbs 5 vs' 18-19 "Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth. Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times: and be thou ravished always with her love". Good advice from the days of King Solomon up to this very day.                                                                                                                                  
          Fast forward from the days of Adam and Eve to after the flood. We do note however that the Patriarchs, Abraham and Isaac both had one wife, er Isaac that is.While married to Sarah Abraham took Hagar to wife with the consent-no, the insistence of Sarah. She later kicked Hagar and her child out as God had already promised her a child, and Isaac was that child of the promise.                                                                                                                                         
         After the death of Sarah, Abraham took another wife by the name of Ke-tu'rah, who also bare him seven children. Should women be upset at men for having in their nature, the want and desire to have more than one wife? Western women do, and indeed they take it a step further by one woman having more than one man at any given time, even during sex. A far cry from those days indeed.                                                                                                                             
          Since it would seem to be a bad thing for a man to have more than one wife/woman, then why was it acceptable to God for Jacob to start the nation of Israel with four women? That's right,4 women,he got married to two sisters, who in turn gave him their personal assistants to wife to bear him children and they were one big family.                                                                               
           Again in Deuteronomy chap 21 vs 15 states,"If a man have two wives, one beloved and the other hated," let me explain at this pause. No man would marry any woman that he hates.At the time of marriage the sex is good,and they cannot get enough of each other. As  time goes on the fire of lust and desire wanes, it's a natural human evolvement. So too, as with anything we humans have, we each have favorites, favorite shirt,shoes, pants, movies, songs,etc, now you should get the gist of what is meant by one loved [favorite] and the other hated [not the favorite]. The prophet Samuel was born of Hanna, who was the second wife of his father, and God told the great King David that he'd given him many wives and the wives also of Saul, showing us that the God of the Christian bible is not averse to a man having more than wife, just the feminine run western society.  Space and time precludes us from continuing on at this time so until the next one, live well,be happy, make love, we bid you Peace.

Just How Close Are We?

          "One generation passeth away,and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth forever." Ecclesiastes chap 1 vs 4. Whenever the end of the world is mentioned pictures erupt in some peoples minds of total chaos. Burning buildings, marauding mobs, lawlessness everywhere, the strong taking physical advantage of the weak,rampant disease and a very rapid decline in population with little or no technology to rely on.                                                                              
           With the threat of nuclear war making the desolation of the planet seem even more a reality than a probability, many of the earth's residents have lost hope. But, wait, before I paint an even more bleak future for mankind, lets examine a few disturbing things that may make wars seem a welcome intrusion.                                                                                                                              
             First and foremost I want to jump right into the brouhaha that got started by Phil Robertson and his right to freedom of speech which has been trampled by the very people who advocate not naming their journalistic sources when they have a story that they do not want compromised before putting it forth to the public.                                                                                                  
           For an Editor of  large city newspaper to shamelessly vilify the man for giving his own opinion concerning his own sexual preferences,leads me to think that that Don whatshisface guy must be a blatant flaming queer. That's right I said it.  And for those who advocate imposing their homosexual views and nuances upon the rest of us heterosexually minded folks, I say it is time to stand up for your rights, before they try to make it a crime to not be like them. How dare they try to denigrate those who obey the laws of God?                                                                               
           Consider this simple fact,should every man and woman succumb to the 'gay' lifestyle, the human race would cease to repopulate the earth, and, we as a species would eventually die out. Two men in bed cannot generate life, nor can the same be said of two women lying in bed. In the beginning God made Adam and Eve, not Steve. God also gave commandment to Eve that her desire should be toward her husband and that he should rule over her, a fact that modern woman has debunked, proclaiming independence from men, they presume to do and think that all that men do so should they.                                                                                                       
           Romans chap 1 vs' 26-27 "For this cause God gave them up to Vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature;-[lesbianism]:And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, [homosexuality] and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet." {meet as in right}.                                                      

          Is it any wonder then that this world/planet seems to be drawing to an end? The first recorded large scale homosexual conclave was know as Sodom and Gomorrah, in fact, in some places there is still a law against homosexual acts-termed sodomy.                                                        
         What happened to that Society? If you remember the story of Lot cousin to Abraham, he barely escaped with his life as the Most High God rained fire from heaven and burnt it to a nuclear crisp. how can I say that?, you may ask, read the book 'The Wars of gods and men' by Zechariah Sitchin. In it he proves that that area is still suffering from the effects of radiation which could only have been inflicted by vehicles used to interstellar travel. That may seem far fetched to some but remember in this new technological age things we deemed impossible 100 yrs ago is now old hat to some.                                                                                                      
          The men of Sodom and Gomorrah insisted on attempting to have homosexual relations with the men[angels] that came to get Lot out of the city. In Genesis chap 19 vs'5-9, tells of how they demanded to 'know' the men, despite Lot offering up his daughters for the use of their perverse lusts,High technology was used to blind them, thus ensuring that lot and his family could escape from the coming calamity.                                                                                                                
          Ancient Pompeii, another society known for homosexuality and debauchery, was also overthrown  by a volcanic eruption that wiped it off the face of the earth. In previous writings we proposed the use of the imagination  and the realm of possibility. Man being made in the 'image' and likeness of God, and that Imagination is responsible for a lot of the creations that man has instituted upon the planet. Seeing then that the use of the imagination- a godlike trait given to man can, be used for either good or evil, Homosexual imaginings is something that God himself is against as evidenced by the burning of Sodom and Gomorrah and the various laws God made against it.                                                                                                                                    
          Leviticus 18 vs 22,"Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind; it is abomination. in other words, two men are not to be making out like a man and woman would. the next verse also condemns those who practice acts with animals[beastiality].                                                                                                          
          In chap 20 vs 13," If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; Their blood shall be upon them." There is no doubt as to the severity of breaking this commandment. Years ago 'sodomites' as they were then called, or known as, stayed so in secret. Now they are open with their lifestyle, and if you should say nothing in their presence to vilify such repugnance, they then begin to assume that you're down with their program, thus giving them license to approach you with  their foibles.                                                                                                                                         
         Herein lies the quandary, straight people aren't supposed to say anything negative against homo's, while 'gays' can openly attack those who do not condone that grimy way of life or living, just literally defies the realm of logic. Then we come to the use of language. the word gay used to mean happy and carefree, not related to an aberrant lifestyle. Truth be told 'gays' have more discord among each other than straight people, and only put on airs to hide the fact that they, deep in spirit know, that the lifestyle is against God and man, indeed the entire human race.The spread of this disease is indeed incurring the wrath of God with it's spread over the entire earth among all nations.                                                                                                                                
          II Peter chap 3 vs 7"But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgement and perdition of ungodly men." Those who do not believe in God, scoff at this coming judgement to practice this unnatural lifestyle, and of course they are described as "ungodly",  and about to get the wrath of God upon their heads similar to Sodom and Gomorrah and Pompeii.                                                                                                                               
          The computer age has also brought changes to the English language as well {as if it wasn't hard enough as it were} Now words like 'default', I mean who is at fault? If you were a good student of English grammar and literature, today's presentation of how to choose words on a computer screen can have you make the wrong choice by misunderstanding the very words that you thought you knew.                                                                                                                                 
           Thread, once a string that was put through a needle, now a line for computer link,'link' being formerly a part of a chain, you know the saying, ' a chain is as strong as it's weakest link', hmm,would you like to hear some more? Words used in slang today were once used to mean something else.  Of course slang has always been used in the bible, yea, even by the prophets, when they said God told them to 'drop his words to the north'.                                                                                                                                
           Then comes the polluted waters of the planet. All across the globe our once bountiful supply of fresh clean and clear water has diminished, ravaged by the building of factories and mills to support our march into the industrial age. "In the abundance of water the fool is thirsty" from the song 'Rat Race' Bob Marley and the Wailers. Our oceans and seas once thought to be an inexhaustible supply of water, has endured so many oil spills from the north pole to the south pole and from east to west that even the fishes try to beach themselves occasionally to try to escape the pollution.                                                                                                                            
           Add to that the various nations that set off nuclear explosions in our oceans to flex their military might and you begin to get the picture that we are on the road to self destruction, Another dangerous thing to add to the mix-- Plastic. every single thing in use by modern man is wrapped up in plastic, in one form or another.                                                                                   
          What was presented as alternative to paper, as an innocuous solution to paper has now become one of the most insidious inventions ever created by man. Most avid and average fishermen that go on fishing trips, with a couple of six packs of beer, think nothing of tossing the plastic holding the beers into the ocean, resulting at times in suffocating some hapless marine life that had the misfortune to swim unawares into the plastic trap.                                                                                                                              
          Indeed almost half of the oceans are floating plastic debris. Plastic- it's not biodegradable,  and somehow we have been hoodwinked into thinking, or rather, accepting plastic as a necessity. Water, cooking oils, every form of processed foods, sodas,medicine. Just bought a new cell phone?  Its probably encased in plastic or has some form of protective plastic cover over the face of the screen.                                                                                                                                  
           Back to the waters. The U.S.G.S. has long ago discovered that over 80% of all bodies of waters in  the good ole U.S. of A are suffering from pollution. The drinking water supply of many municipalities across the nation has fluoride[toxic industrial waste] added to the water along with arsenic { also a known poison and carcinogen} along with Teflon and Scotch guard. The ingredients of the latter two which constitutes the active pollutants in their makeup, I wont name here, suffice it to say that, they  are found in humans, animals, and plants and the waters.   Also found in their study, is the fact that every form of medicine, from over the counter pills to prescribed medication is also filtering it's way into our water supply via the recycling processes. From prozac to cancer meds to diabetic medications,Arthritis and others have formed a miasma  that we are currently consuming unawares in our water supplies. P.S. Do not think you are immune to this because you're drinking bottled water.                                                                                                                               
           Chances are that bottle is made from plastic, and water the greatest soluble there is, has already dissolved some of that plastic into your supply in the bottle, no matter how minuscule the amount.All these things may seem to have been man's doing, but have you ever stopped to ponder, that perhaps these things were done by the adversary of man?  That my friend will lead to another discussion, so until then, live well, be happy, make love, we bid you Peace.

The Christmas Hoopla.

           Was Jesus the Christ born on December 25th? Just what does Santa[Satan]-{same letters rearranged} have to do with the birth of Christ and Christmas? And why do Parents insist on lying to their children about Santa to keep up a tradition of lies? We all know the disappointment we had in our parents when we found out they lied about santa, hmm, what else were they lying about? After those seeds of doubt and mistrust were placed, there are those who vehemently still wish to tell Virginia about Santa. Truth? No Virginia THERE IS NO SANTA CLAUSE ! And for those who got upset at the truth, so what?                                                                                     
           On Sunday mornings I usually awaken early to watch Dr Stanley.  I was however disappointed with Stanley's use of a Christmas tree in his topic this morning, no matter the goodness of the intention,Christ had nothing to do with December 25th nor the standing up of trees with an invitation for Santa Claus and a glass of milk. Also bear in mind that the road to hell is paved with good intentions that somehow end up badly.                                                                                                                       
           Jeremiah chap 10 vs 3-4, states; "For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest,the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold;{nowadays it's silver and gold tinsel trimmings} they fasten it with nails and with hammers,that it move not."                                                                                                                    
            This is a clear reference to this tradition of putting up trees to celebrate a pagan custom dating back all the way from ancient Babylon. Mr. Stanley, belief in Christ does not require a belief in Christmas. Indeed many customs found in today's Christianity came from pagan customs being integrated into Christianity to appease skeptics in order to get them to follow Christianity. As for the 25th of December, it is taken from the 25th day of the month of 'Casleu' when Judas Maccabeus reclaimed the Temple from the rule of the Greeks and the fire appeared out of water that was preserved by the grace of the Most High. Don't take my word for it, read the Apochrypha and do your own research. Thus was the custom of Chaan-a chaa [Hanukkah] started.                                                                                                                                               
            Sunday worship was/is a day dedicated to the Egyptian god Amen-Ra.  Sunday is also the first day of the week. Sunday was instituted by King Constantine during the Byzantine era, as a law in defiance of the Jewish Sabbath and was approved by the Nicene counsel. Saturday is the 7th day on the western calendar and practically all over the known earth, and is indeed the Sabbath day.                                                                                                                                      
            Now while the sermon on giving was most interesting,enough emphasis was not put on those who think that if they give something once a year, at this festive time of the year,that all is right with the Almighty and that they can revert back to being mean spirited without any consequences against them.                                                                                                               
           Again, nowhere in the Holy Scriptures is it written that my Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ gave instructions to put up a tree, nor has he left word that some overweight guy in a red outfit would be miraculously be everywhere at once giving children gifts.  In fact Christ said he came to fulfill the law, and also to set fire on this earth. Certainly the Theological seminaries that churn out preachers for profit, rely on one scripture to keep the simple in line, John  3 vs 16, Quote that and everybody will meekly empty their pockets to keep false profits going. [Note; the word profit as thats what they are about as false prophets.]                                                                 
          Also interesting to note, is that first, when Augustus Caesar gave the decree for all to be taxed, is that the time period closely aligns very much to our deadline day of April 15th, the last day to file your taxes. Secondly, the shepherds that came to see Christ were not tending their flocks in the middle of winter, and when Christ was born in the house [manger or stable] {take your choice of words}, there was no snow around Bethlehem at that time as it was indeed the spring time, around the time of his birth.                                                                                                       
          Also interesting to note is that for the wise men to find Christ they had to follow a 'star', which indeed was a spaceship with it's bright lights burning, ancient man could only say they saw a star at night leading them to where the Messiah was born.                                                              
           To those who say it is a time of giving, Christmas that is, why is that the only time that you think that it's okay to give?   Why do not the merchants who promote this time of year freely give to the destitute and those who truly are in need of help? Or is it just a way to build up the coffers? Can Christmas be the doctrine of the "Nic-o-lai-tanes? Whose deeds Christ also hates as stated in Revelation chap 2 vs 6? And isn't Santa Clause called jolly old St Nick? And since as they have ingrained into our minds from birth that God is all love, from where is the wars and hate and discord coming from?                                                                                             
           Consider this, when Jesus walked the earth as a man, why did he not speak plainly to all instead of in parables?  The answer found in Mark chap 4 vs' 11-12 is not easy to swallow. "And he said unto them, Unto you is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing that they hear, and not understand: lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them".  [KJV]  As it is plainly written, there are those who God and Christ do not wish to save, now refute that if you dare.                                  
           Both good and evil were both created by the Lord, inasmuch as when a battery is being made, it has to have a positive and a negative connection in order for it to function. So too has the Creator of this Universe saw fit to do likewise with his creation for his purposes that we cannot fathom in this our earthly realm. Mas in Spanish, a derivative of Latin {why so many spanish speaking peoples call themselves Latino} means more, however in it's original Latin it also means death. So do you want to celebrate the death of Christ or his living his life for you? Is Christmas a valid Thing to celebrate? until you find the answers to the questions I ask or until the next time, live well, be happy, make love, we bid you Peace.                                                                                                                                               

Questions Of The Quest.

          When speaking of unidentified Flying Objects, those that are in control of the media, usually put a spin of deception against those who have seen such things with the naked eye. [our way of seeing things in the flesh]. Reports of such activities have been countered with weather balloons, [proliferated?], atmospheric anomalies, or airplanes in the vicinity on an exercise.  All these events have inspired the question by those who have seen them in this our modern era, WHY?                                                              
          
           In the Lost Books of the Bible-The Forgotten Books of Eden, it was reported that Adam, during his stay in the Garden of Eden, [Earth], could look straight up into the heavens and see the Angels giving praise to God. Indeed, while the cynical among us tend to only believe what they can see and touch in this three dimensional world [or setting] of ours the facts remain that not only are there other worlds but also other dimensions. How can that be? And do you have proof?                                                                                  
          The movie "Independence Day" portrait-ed other life forms attacking the earth in ships that had clouds as camouflage. Now for those of you who have seen this movie as just science fiction entertainment, consider these words shortly after Christ's death and resurrection, just before the start of A.D. {B.C.-before Christ} and A.D.-after Christ, in the book of Acts. The last reported doings of the Son of God in chap 1 vs 9:"And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight". Again in the book of Revelation chap 1 vs 7, "Behold, he cometh with clouds;". The plurality of clouds implies obviously, more than one, and, it's a certainty that they are interstellar vehicles.                                                                                                  
          Still not enough to make you a believer?  Then answer this question honestly: Why was the movie "Close Encounters Of The Third Kind" such a huge hit? Was it just a Hollywood gimmick? Or was there enough truth in it that there are other life forms in the Universe and that man is not alone? At the dawn of the atomic age, when there were but 4 super- powers, and after the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, most of the inhabitants of this planet, went about their business, with tepid intimidation for fear that should infighting among these powers take place the earth could be engulfed in wars that could destroy civilization as we know it.                                                                                       
          We now have nuclear power, and unfortunately, irrational people in power that are developing the means to have these weapons at their disposal which makes the threat of man wiping himself off of the face of the earth a very serious possibility. Where will this end and what does it have to do with spaceships?                                                                           
          Have you ever read the book "Communion"? Or 'Missing Time' by Bud Hopkins? Seen the movies 'Encounters of the 4th Kind?, or Dream Catcher?  Those books were not science fiction, nor was Encounter of the 4th kind. Peculiar as we earthlings are, the we more we see something, or get accustomed to a person,place or thing, it soon becomes blase to us, in other words we are easily programmable.                                                                  
              
          If your mind has been piqued, and your imagination has twitched even for a moment, do you still think the things mentioned herein are fantasy? Yes? No? In either case let us proceed even further. We humans are affected by water and by gravity. Water as we all know has three states,liquid,solid-[snow and ice] and vapor,H,2,O-two parts hydrogen to one part oxygen constitutes liquid water and indeed we walk around in this vapor each and every day. So what do you think would happen if the highly irrational rulers of Iran and North Korea were to send nuclear attacks on both the Eastern and Western powers? World's war three. And besides the EMP and radioactive fallout and such, the tremendous heat would cause the earth's oceans to boil into vapor.                                                  
           Now you know why Christians keep singing of the rapture. How else can the people of earth survive such a calamity of such magnitude? In Matthew chap 24 vs 30;" And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory". The next verse tells that he will gather his elect from east,west, north and south.[my interpretation of the four winds].                                                                
           This means that those who created us in the 'image of God' already knew our limitations, in fact, the story of the creation, shows that everything was prepared for man before he got here. Ezekiel, one of the four major prophets, was also called Son of man, and, in the first chapter of his book tells of the first reported [in detail] contact with flying objects. Chap 1 vs 4," And I looked, and behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire".                                                        
           This is the first up close look of the 'cloud/s', and does it not seem like looking at a rocket launch from Cape Canaveral? The infolding fire was as best as ancient man could then describe what he was seeing, jet planes not being the norm back then, the closest thing to a train was a caravan/convoy of Camels.                                                               
          Why be skeptical or cynical of the proof? Is it hard to fathom or imagine, that a higher intelligence than man made him and has been traveling via U F O's from their place of residence to the earth  since its inception? Lets jump start that imagination and return to ancient Egypt. If you saw the classic movie "The 10 commandments", lets go to where the Israelites are in the desert close to Mt Sinai.                                                                                   
            Exodus 19 vs 18,"And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace,and the whole mount quaked greatly". Now imagine ancient man hearing the roar of stealth aircraft or mothership descending on top of the mount without them actually seeing the outlines of these ships, and the resulting burning of flora and earth at the top of the mount. Wouldn't that make sense?                                                                                                     
           Verse 18 of the 20th chapter also says this,: And all the people saw the thunderings,[#note-you hear thunder not see it], and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. Imagine then,even two dozen of such type flying objects descending upon the mount Sinai would indeed perplex all that saw this. Picture yourself in a big city park on a warm sunny day, perhaps you're with your girlfriend,wife or family on a mini picnic when suddenly you hear sounds of a tremendous roar even louder than a squadron of air force jets flying pass along with such a musical sounds-similar to the music from Close Encounters of the third kind, would you not be perplexed. Tell yourself you wouldn't all you want, there isn't a soul on this planet that doesn't cringe and seek shelter when the Lord's thunder roars extensively during summer storms.                                                                                
            Still don't believe in U.F.O.'s? Elijah the prophet, the second man not to have seen death was taken up into the heavens also, as recorded in the book of second Kings chap 2 vs 11. If modern man has devised a way to make aircraft invisible to radar, they call it stealth technology, why do you think that God and his angels cannot have an even higher technology? When Elisha, Elijah's successor was surrounded by the forces of the Assyrian king, his servant panicked, 2nd Kings chap 6 vs 17," And Elisha prayed, and said,Lord,I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw; and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha." These then can appear or disappear at will.                                                  
          Still filled with disbelief? Man can barely answer all the paranormal activities that occur on this earth that you should believe. If not then answer these few questions, can man put fire on a scale and weigh it? Can you tell where the sound of your voice went after you spoke and you and someone else heard what you said? And in the movie Star Wars, there was a scene of babylonian significance where there were all types of life forms gathered on a certain planet. While a lot of the characters were fictitious, there was one that was real that has often visited the earth, the red one with the horns protruding from his head. While you ponder those things and questions, live well, be happy,make love,we bid you Peace.  

Imagine--TEOTWAWKI

         "I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:". Psalms 78 vs 2,[KJV]. Imagine, the end of the world as we know it, or TEOTWAWKI,as it's referred to by those who are fervently preparing for the coming apocalypse. While I am a firm believer in being prepared for any God given calamity i.e. storms floods, earthquakes and the like, yet there must be a word of caution issued to those who insist on having everything possible to ensure their survival.                                                                                                                                            
          That word is found in Ecclesiastes 9 vs 12,"For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare: so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them." Or how about the parable Christ spoke of, of the man who had everything to his hearts content, said he would build a bigger and better warehouse to enjoy his wealth when God decided to call him up?                                                                                                                                    
          Now I have nothing against being prepared. Preparedness has always seemed to become a second instinct to survival dating back to the days after the flood . In the book of Genesis chapter 10 we find that the men of that era decided to build a tower up into heaven[the skies],for fear of being scattered, another underlying reason was to seek a way to escape future flood waters. We are all fascinated with survival stories that have occurred in real life, like the true story of a little boy by the name of Jason White, whose father fell off the fishing boat they were both on and drowned, leaving Jason adrift for over 22 days  a couple hundred miles away from shore until a German Liner fished him up out of the sea. Or of airplane wrecks in the Andes Mountains and the survivors having to turn cannibals and eat the dead flesh of those who perished in order to live. Even the fictional "Life of Pi seemed fascinating.                                                                                                                                                              
           What won't be mentioned are those who risk life and limb to climb rocks or mountains simply because they are there, after all, who feels sorry for the snake charmer who in enticing the Cobra snake makes a mistake and is bit? Is there a great confrontational, catastrophic, cataclysmic change ahead of mankind? Yes, and to have some semblance of preparedness is only common sense. How can we increase the odds for our surviving this earth shattering change? Begin to draw closer to God above. Who else can give you the power over fire? Did not the God of Daniel protect Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego from the power of fire in ancient Babylon? Imagine, some may say that was ancient man made fire not the present day heat of nuclear fission. The belief in God has always had man do the supernatural, because the God of Abraham.Isaac and Jacob is a supernatural being. With so many nations having nuclear capabilities, along with nations like Iran and Korea [north], it will only be a matter of time before the inevitable, thermonuclear war.                                                            
            Previously, in other blogs,we've shown that by using the imagination, it is very likely that most if not all the planets orbiting the sun in our solar system, were previously inhabited at some point in time or other. Now imagine, for all the preppers out there, that a thermonuclear event occurred what and where would you be? Do you think that you would get warning in time to protect yourself and family? One must also bear in mind that modern society with it's dependency upon nuclear energy, has major threats to it's stability,i.e. man made mistakes in the operating of these plants can lead to serious catastrophes like Chernobyl and Three Mile Island. So, would you happen to have an handy dandy radiation suit nearby to put on? and whatever gas mask you have or breathing apparatus, would it suffice for the untold amounts of toxic gasses in the air floating around? Personally, I don't think so. For instance consider the double rings of  the planet Saturn.Can it be a far fetched idea that these occurred from some sort of nuclear incidence in a bygone era?, leaving the planet uninhabited with those rings of toxic dust to circulate the planet by its own gravity?                                                
             Since the end of the world is the subject matter here, lets examine two of my pet peeves that are certainly contributing to the planets demise, and of which we all are guilty unless you live in middle earth with hobbits or are living on the moon, the pollution of the planets waters and the invention of Plastic. The residue of everything we use to exist and promote our own hygiene in today's world has toxins in them and eventually gets washed into streams, rivers, lakes and oceans.                                                                                                                                    
           This also includes plastic. At first glance it may seem to be a boon to mankind but upon further examination this thing called plastic is hastening our very demise. At first glance this thing seemed innocuous, passed of at it's first discovery and usage as a way to eliminate paper bags and save the trees. Years later we find that plastic is not bio degradable, that the various chemicals made to differentiate between hard and soft plastic is also detrimental to our health. Bear in mind that water is the great dissolver  and the most soluble of all liquids, and just where do we find 'spring water' sold every where? In plastic bottles. The insidious use of plastic has taken over practically every form of food handling , in the which may I remind you that these plastics leech out invisible toxins and gases that permeate the very foods they are wrapped up to protect. Want proof? leave fruit or escallions in plastic in the refrigerator for a day or two and see for yourself the rapid deterioration of them.                                                                                                                                  
            Plastic is now the norm for a whole lot of sodas, and with their high acid content rest assured that the recipients are also drinking minuscule parts of plastic with some soda pop.Plastic is now also standard for certain brands of cooking oil,certain types of liquor, bread, cakes,butter,all the meats purchased at the supermarket including cold cuts,the list is almost endless.For the complete list of chemicals that are poisoning our planet check out the book "Poisoned Profits-The Toxic Assault On Our Children".                                                                                                                                                    
           Yes indeed, a nuclear holocaust is near and very likely inevitable, my advise is to prepare best as you can, just make sure you get closer to the Creator of the heavens and this earth, it maybe you'll have a chance at surviving the coming day of Judgement. And for the skeptics that find it hard to believe that there are other intelligent life forms in the Universe, check this out, Hebrew chap 1 vs 1-2 "God,who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds. [KJV]. Please note the plural worlds as in more than one.The days of thinking that the earth[world] is flat, and that man is alone in the Universe is long gone, and I stand by my theories concerning the planets stars and other life forms that the Lord God has created.
